‘Creating yourself reminds and unites you with The Creator’
S.M.
30th year
Each week, we engage with the many expressive possibilities of visual art, both in groups and individually.
Through our artistic and spiritual practice, we release resistance and create more space and light.
Knowing resides in the heart, and it is this area that is primarily engaged, from which we weave a connection between thinking and our outward appearance in the world.
Voor Who
For anyone who wants to explore and deepen the world of colour, line and form without pretentiousness.
Sessions
We’ll work with the following artistic techniques:
– Painting on damp paper*, veil painting*, and transparencies
– Observation exercises indoors and outdoors, “graying,” hatching, and copying
– Sculpting, soapstone, and woodworking
A debriefing session concludes the lesson, where we reflect on our discoveries in each other’s work.
* Watercolor
NEW: Individual lessons are now also available. Time and cost are TBA.
TIME: Friday 14.00-16.00
PLACE: Baljuwstraat 16, 2241BS Wassenaar

ART FOR CORONA 2

Spring Tree
*** “SPRING TREE” has been SOLD ***
Now that every day brings more sadness and even despair for many people, it remains more necessary than ever to be there for each other. Everyone in their own way.
My modest contribution as a visual artist is to offer a second painting, which can be bid on, as last time, starting at €100, via my Contact page. Of course, you are welcome to view it first by appointment.
A win-win situation: you buy something beautiful for yourself or a loved one, and the Red Cross, for the purpose of COVID-19 relief, receives 75% of the proceeds. 25% goes to the Ben-Heart Foundation (ANBI) for children.
“Spring Tree,” acrylic (impressionistic), 85/65 cm, signed, 2005 with a white wooden frame.
The first painting, “Dance Your Life,” sold for a great price and is now hanging in its new home in Wassenaar. That amount has now been transferred to the two charities.
I hope, together with you, to be able to continue this for a long time to come.
“TREES LOVE PEOPLE,” and people love trees.

ART for CORONA 1

Dance Your Life
*** “DANCE YOUR LIFE” has been SOLD ***
After a period of disbelief, surprise, sadness, and fear, we now all live in a completely different world in a short time.
Nothing is the same anymore, both close to home and in the world. Basic necessities and health are our primary concerns, and we constantly give them our full attention. We hear and read about how help is needed, how it can be done, and how much creativity is generated in the search for solutions.
This is also the case in the art world.
Art in all its many forms—music, dance, theater, literature, and the visual arts—is, in my view, and I’m not the only one, also a vital necessity.
Now, during this Easter season, along with spring, it shows that life and light ultimately win. I, too, want to contribute to this. Based on my life philosophy and work, I want to feature one work of art each week in the Wassenaarse Krant, which will arrive in your mailbox Wednesday/Thursday. Bidding is open until Tuesday evening, starting at €100, via my Contact page.
The highest bid will initially go to the Corona Red Cross emergency number INGB0000007244, and the work can be picked up immediately from me. The total amount will be transferred directly to two charities: 75% to a Corona bank account and 25% to the Ben-Heart Foundation (Chamber of Commerce/ANBI).
I am currently contacting the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Red Cross to determine which number is suitable.
The first work is my latest painting: “Dance Your Life,” acrylic, 100/70 cm, unframed (see photo).
I hope to continue this work with you for a long time during this time of transformation, which will permanently change our lives.
Thank you in advance.
